Hi I'm Jontana

I was raised in Washington State. I love my family and all they have done for me. I love my faith and Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I loved my high school experience back in Washington. I participated in track and field, and I loved it. I ran the sprinting events, and my 4x4 team took fifth in state. I was the homecoming prince my senior year and I loved being with all the different types of people in our high school. I love reading about history, especially european history( and even more so the Ottoman Empire). I love to beat-box, and I love listening to music. I don't have much musical talent, but I am very grateful for those who do. I love dogs, and especially my dog Scotty. My best friends are my family because the have always been there for me. We ate meals together, we played together, we did everything together. My family even traveled all the way to Tacoma with me when I went to state for track. After I graduated from high school I worked at Walmart as a cashier to earn money for college. I went to College at BYU Idaho and I loved it. I spent two semesters there, where I recieved a 3.9 and a 4.0 GPA. I had a ton of fun with my roommates, and we did activities varying from mattress sledding to nerf gun wars. After I recieved my mission call to Brazil I served a mission for two years- and I LOVED it!!! Now I have returned from my mission and I am attending BYU Provo and majoring in Business Management. I work at the mexican restaurant Los Hermanos as a server.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by a strong LDS family- and it has helped me decide to be a member of this true church. However I gained my testimony of the church through the Book of Mormon. I could never leave this church- because i have received a personal response from god that that book is true. The book has kept me from leaving the church several times- and the book is where I base my testimony. Also I have had a near death experience- and what saved me was a blessing from the priesthood of God- that only exists in this church. I was spared by the priesthood- and I owe my life the Christ's church and his priesthood.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures every day - the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I pray every day- several times a day. I believe in service to other people- I love doing acts of service to help someone else have a better day. I feel like how we treat other people is so important - we need to treat them as Christ would.
