Hi I'm Darin

I grew up in Utah but I've lived all over. I'm an inactive Marine, an aspiring author, and father of seven. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Dad who loves his family and the time I have to spend with them. I also like fishing, love camping and hiking. I work nights so I have more time to spend with my family during the day. I hope to publish a book I'm writing so I can stay home and work as an author.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS but I was very opinionated. In my youth I wanted to know what others believed before making my own decision. I fell away. Far away. After the Marine Corps I became lost in the world. About seven years ago I started the long road of recovery. I had to find my higher power and renew my faith in Jesus Christ. That lead me to the realization that love and service to others will always make you happy and self service never will. I know Jesus loves me and I swear to you the power of his grace truly is amazing.

How I live my faith

My family reads scriptures together every day. It unifies us and draws us together. We also devote Monday evenings to the family and have lessens and play games together. A community with strong families is a strong community. I also visit with two other families in our community. It is my blessing to look out for them and ensure they are doing well. In this way we can all be lifted when we are in need.

Are Mormons Christians?

Without a doubt. I believe Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. I know he paid for my sins so that I could return one day to live with my heavenly father. I know he loves me and I have seen that love in my life. He is my brother, my example, and a glorified living being. I love him and do my best to follow him every day. Show more Show less
