Hi I'm Heath

I was born and raised in the church and have a very strong heritage in the church. I was raised in Mesa Az and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. After marrying the love of my life, moved to a small town in northeastern Az. We've been blessed with four beautiful kids. I've been in construction most of my adult life. I love being a Dad and I believe that there is no greater calling for a man than to be loved by his children and his Wife.

Why I am a Mormon

My story may be a little different than that of many other LDS men my age because I did not serve a mission. I was raised by goodly parents and came from a rich heritage in the Faith but chose a different path for a time in my younger years. When my children began to get old enough to understand, I began to recognize that I needed to know for a surety that I believed what I had been taught all my life. This process took time and was a struggle in some cases but I now know for fact that I am privileged to have this complete gospel in my life. The knowledge that I can overcome my imperfections and draw closer to my Savior can never be underestimated in this world in which we live. I now understand why a mission is so important to a young man starting out in life and I will raise my children with this in mind. The knowledge that my family can be as one through eternal marriage in the life to come brings the greatest joy. Through fervent prayer and scripture study I have learned that there is in fact only one complete gospel on the earth today and that in the not so distant past a young boy prayed in a grove of trees searching for this same knowledge and through his diligence and sacrifice, he, namely Joseph Smith Jr., assisted in bringing this complete gospel back to this last dispensation and ultimately gave his life for his belief. I pray everyday and thank the Lord for the many, many blessings he has poured out upon me in spite of my imperfections. I recognize that I would be wandering aimlessly through this life had I not be blessed with this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving with the young men and love this calling. I have found that there are really only two ways you can experience life. Either through your decisions and experiences or through others. I believe that because of my previous life experiences that I've been placed with these young men, in almost every ward I've ever lived in, to help these young men avoid some of the mistakes I made. One of the wonderful parts of this church is the importance placed on the well being of others within the ward boundaries. The calling of home teacher not only allows me to get to know my neighbors but also creates life long friendships that may have otherwise not existed. In times of need I have been able to both give and receive assistance from this ward family.
