Hi I'm Taylor Gemperline

I'm a Student, Avid Adventure, Adrenaline Lover and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Farmington UT as the second in a family of 5 kids. I love to keep active and engaged. I absolutely love to snowboard and ski, as well as canyoneering, both of which are great in Utah. I was on my high school Fencing and Lacrosse teams and have a great love for both games. When I'm not doing those things on the weekends or studying throughout the week its fun to dabble in some competitive game play on StarCraft and other PC games. I have always had a great desire to help others with their problems and deal with people in general which has resulted in the pursuit of a Medical Degree at the Univesity of Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was one fortunate enough to be born into the church so I've always had it with me, but considering I now live on my own and have a testimony that only continues to grow, there must be some other reason that I'm a member other than my upbringing. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I now understand that I can repent from my mistakes and be made clean through Christ. I know that the priesthood and church that He established on the Earth to help me to return to Him is restored on the Earth and I am greatful for the help they are to me. As has been the Book of Mormon, which I know is true and helps me personally really understand how I can better become like my savior. I have also come to understand that God knows me so personally that He has a plan for me and a large part of that plan involves serving others. Through His church I have the greatest capacity to serve than anywhere else I have experienced. Finally, I have to say that I love all the great people I meet and the great community that surrounds the church and supports me through life.

How I live my faith

Being an active member in the church comes with so many blessings. I've come to know how to overcome great challenges with the knowledge I've gained from the restored gospel, even challenges I didn't think I could overcome. As a scout I had the great opportunity to have many great adventures and opportunities to learn how to be servant to others. These things really taught me the joy that comes from serving my fellow men and how to always rely upon my Lord for help. I am ever grateful for the scouting program affiliation with the LDS church. Today, however, I enjoy greatly the ability to serve as a full-time missionary in California. I am constantly seeking to help those who have the desire to come closer to Jesus Christ by helping them understand our message of how God loves each of us so dearly becaue we are his children. He wants us to become so great that he sent his Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to provide a way for us to become all we can and return to him someday together. I know that we can only return through our faith that His grace will be sufficient to help us by making promises with him. So to help my brothers and sisters return with me to our father, I do my best to help them do exactly that.
