Hi I'm Becca

I'm a high school English teacher. I have a close relationship with my Nikon. I read every night to go to sleep. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a town with one paved road. My summers were spent swimming in the creek and fishing for crawdads with cheese and string. Pine trees still make me feel like I'm at home. In college I met my husband and nine years later, we've added two sweet boys to our family. I teach high school English because I love teenagers. Another passion of mine is photography. I'm a Nikon girl, through and through. I love how light can change the way we look at things. I love to read. My husband purchased an ebook reader for me when they first came on the market and I don't know what I would do without it. I love my life, I love my family, and I love my church.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon. I've had moments in my life when I've wondered if this was the right place for me. In high school, I went through a period of time where I investigated other churches. I came to appreciate the gospel I had been raised with. As I got older and had children, I was more thankful than ever. The principles of the Mormon church are based on the family. My children are my world, and knowing that I am able to be with them through this life and the next gives me so much comfort.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon is about taking life day by day, moment by moment. I live my faith by constantly reminding myself of the example of Jesus Christ. When I go to church, I teach my children the importance of being reverant in the Lord's house. I serve in the nursery and I have the chance to be with the youngest children in our ward. They are beautiful, sweet little souls and they make church so much fun.
