Hi I'm Tom

I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two (soon to be three), married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I find oil and gas. I grew up just outside of Spokane, Washington in a the small town of Valleyford. I went to a small school where I was one of the only Mormons. After high school I served a two year mission in Minas Gerais, a state in Brazil. Upon returning home from Brazil, I went to Brigham Young University and studied geology. I met my wife and after dating for a whole six months we were married in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. After obtaining my degree we moved to Oklahoma where I earned my Master's Degree in geology and secured a job searching for oil and gas field in Indiana. I love my job, and I love my children, but most of all I love the Lord and thank Him for my family and the blessing that it is eternal. I know that I will be able to live with my wife and children forever.

Why I am a Mormon

My mission in Brazil was a turning point in my life and in my faith. It was through thoughtless service to the Lord and his Brazilian people that I felt my faith strengthen and my testimony solidify. I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. The Lord has restored prophets and apostles to the Earth once again, and through them He guides and directs his people. I know that he also guides me and my family personally through revelation.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by first making sure that I make right choices and listen to the guidance that the Lord gives me and making sure that only good uplifting things are allowed to enter my home (particularly through the TV and internet). I am currently serving with the young men (12-18 year old) as a Boy Scout leader. We put in a lot of hard work toward scout advancement as well as spiritual advancement. However, we do occasionally get to throw some balls at each other in a game of dodge ball. I love working with the youth, and seeing their testimonies of the gospel grow and mature.
