Hi I'm Tricia

I'm a mother, a wife, a friend and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children. They keep me busy! I love to volunteer at school, although I don't get to as often as I'd like to. I really enjoy watching them try new things or excel in an area where they have previously struggled. They are growing so fast! I try to keep perspective and slow down to smell the roses and enjoy the ride:) I love to cook! I love finding new recipes that my family loves and I especially LOVE chocolate. I really like to talk... a lot. I live for date night with my fabulous husband and have long lists of things I would like to do "someday".

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I was not raised in a Latter-Day Saint home, but I recognized the difference and knew that is what I wanted. My grandmother was a member and would take me to church with her. I asked to meet with the missionaries when I was 10. I took the missionary discussions and was baptized. I went in and out of activity through my teenage years and when I was 18 I decided I had better decide what kind of a life I wanted. Thankfully I had lots of adult leaders in my life and made the good decision to "Come unto Christ". I met my husband 3 months later. Since then I have been striving to learn more and align my life with His teachings so that I can make the most of my earthly journey here. I want to leave my family with a legacy they can be proud of and give them the best opportunity for His blessings in their lives. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has truly changed me for the better and I am so grateful that he has blessed me to be a part of it!

How I live my faith

I try. I am not anywhere close to perfect, but I do try. The beautiful thing about the gospel of Jesus Christ is that anyone can live it. You live what you know to be true. At first it starts out small, then the more you blossom in the gospel the more you know and the more you want to do what Heavenly Father has planned for you. I accept the callings I am asked to do, no matter if they are small and simple or if it is something that seems out of my league. This has helped me to learn A LOT. I am grateful for those experiences. I try to have a family night each week where our family can talk about gospel subjects, world events that are taking place or even things like manners. We enjoy that time together and the time we spend in family scripture study and prayer. Those things help me to see the needs of my family a little better. I also love to share the gospel with those I come in contact who are not members of my faith. I realize that my life would be so different without the blessings of the priesthood and of the atonement. I want others that I love to have the same peace it brings and confidence in and love for our Heavenly Father.
