Hi I'm Keith

I grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I enjoy performing artistry, teaching, family history, having fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in the financial industry currently, helping people. Previously, I worked in the advertising-market research and performing artistry industries, also helping people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my mother and grandmother introduced me to the church when I was about 16 to 18. I didn't have a solid religious founding by then, but the seeds were planted. Over time, I learned more, and stayed in-touch with the Church, the missionaries, etc., as I travelled to & fro. Even though I sort of 'drifted' into & out of activity from time to time, the Spirit and my testimony, never left, and grew over time. I read the scriptures before, but then purchased tapes, and later CDs, etc. My journey continued. Notwithstanding the friction or ridicule I received over the years from people in the various industries, I wouldn't have it any other way! The best way to describe why I'm a Mormon is the spiritual experiences I have had. I know various experiences have shown me the doctrine of what the Church teaches is what Jesus Christ represents, or wants for the world, and is the format for peace and love. His organization and doctrine are perfect. Of course, we, His followers, are NOT perfect, but we make being perfect our goal as that gives us the refining power by His hand and our continued faith in keeping the commandments and repentance. I know the Church is THE authorized organization of the Lord.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as Ward Mission Leader for my ward. I have served as a Sunday School President, facilities representative, Elders' quorum counselor, Stake missionary, acting ward mission leader, family history consultant, Sunday school teacher, choir member, single adult leader, ward council member, usher, and other various duties in various areas in the past. I strive to be humble and do what Jesus would have me do. I am confident that keeping the commandments, baptismal and temple covenants, honoring the priesthood, and 'daring to stand alone' as our prophet has admonished, despite the mistakes of the past, will be a continual steady implementation in my day-to-day life, will continue the path that the Lord would have us go.
