Hi I'm Jeff

I was born in Heber City, Utah. I'm the youngest of 7 kids, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Advertising. I have been a radio personality and was involved in student government. I am an NBA fanatic, especially for the Utah Jazz. I love to read, watch movies and spend time with my (rather large) family. I am the youngest of 7 children and have 5 older sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the right choice for me, as it was the right choice for my ancestors. My great-great-grandparents converted to the Church in Europe, and moved to follow the Church to Utah. My family was among the first to settle the city that I was born and raised in. I have studied, prayed and examined the teachings of this church and I know them to be true. Because I was raised in the Church, my conversion came gradually, I always new that it felt right, and that I could feel the truth when I heard it. As I have gotten older, I have learned more about the teachings of Jesus Christ through His prophets, and it is even clearer to me that it is true. I have worked, prayed and studied for a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I regard this as something of immense worth to me. My life has been immensely enriched by the teachings and doctrine of this church. I have come to know that Jesus Christ knowingly and willingly submitted to take my sins upon Himself that I might be saved. Because of this knowledge, I am willing and always striving to do the things which He would have me do. I have come to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored the Church of Jesus Christ that we have today. I know that if I am faithful to the covenants that I have made that I will enjoy added happiness in this life, and happiness in the life to come with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I have had the wonderful blessing of serving in several different capacities within the gospel. I have served as a Sunday School teacher on several occasions, as well as an assistant to the bishop of the Ward. In every capacity I have had to serve, I have found great blessings in my life come from serving those around me. I am currently living in a rural area in Japan. I am in charge of a Sunday School class that is conducted in English every week. I live my faith by trying to always be aware of the people who are around me, and do my best to love them as I know the Savior does. I have found that if you are quick to love people, your life is much easier and enjoyable. I am always working on being more willing to serve my fellow man and do things for others. In these ways, strive earnestly to follow the example that Jesus Christ himself set for us during his time on Earth.
