Hi I'm Bob

I grew up Catholic as a child in France and had many questions. In 1969 I found the answers I sought in the LDS church.

About Me

I am a husband of 30 years, father of 2 wonderful daughters and a physician.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I had numerous questions: "Where is God's true church?", "Why do we no longer have prophets and apostles?", "What happened to all the miracles of Christ's ancient church?", "Why did God cease talking to mankind?"... There were no satisfactory answers to my questions. Then in the summer of 1969 my family met with the missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in a trailer in the Nevada desert. I recall hearing the story of the first vision where Joseph Smith as a 14yo boy posed many of the same questions that had burned in my heart for all my life at the time. The answers he received spoke to my soul. At last I had found God's church, and His prophets and apostles. Once again there were miracles on the earth. God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ were anew speaking to mankind. The truth of the teachings and doctrines of the Church have been confirmed to me time and again by the whisperings of the Holy Ghost. It is true, this is His church. Of this bear bear firm but humble witness in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

How I live my faith

I serve the Church as a bishop, as such I have many opportunities to lift the weary and heavy hearted. Through the teachings and doctrines of the Lord's church I have guided and seen many find happiness and peace in their lives as they have sought to follow the Savior, Jesus Christ and abide by his precepts. The Church provides stability in a world so full of confusing messages where so many things that have been right for centuries are turned upside down. The standards of righteousness and teachings of the Lord's kingdom do not change no matter what society's new norms may be. As we as a family live the Gospel and follow the council of our living prophet we have found peace and protection in today's very troubled world.
