Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a mom, a homeschooler, and an avid reader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of three children (so far) I'm married to my very best friend. I'm a homeschooling mother. I love to sew, I love to read, I love bargain shopping and finding good deals, I love to bake (and to eat baked goods) and, of course, I love to spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I didn't have much of a testimoy growing up. I remember, in high school, telling a couple of my friends that I was only a mormon because of my parents- and that I would leave the church when I was no longer under their authority. I continued going to church on Sundays, reading scriptures with my family, and even attending an early morning class about the gospel every morning while in high school. I was always at church, and I thought that I was taught good principles, but I didn't truly believe what I had been taught. Could the Book of Mormon really be true? Then, at the end of my senior year, I felt lost and confused about my life. I began to pray- really pray in earnest, for help from the Lord. Then, somehow, it changed. When I went to church, I enjoyed it. When I read scriptures with my family, I wanted to read more and to really learn about what I was reading. Every lesson at Church just made so much sense. Of course the Book of Mormon is true! I'm sure I would have known earlier if I had taken the time to read and pray sooner. I no longer felt lost or confused, I was so at peace. Not that my life became perfect- I still had (and have) many trials, but I experience it from a different perspective, now. So I may have grown up in the LDS Church, but I'm a Mormon now because I know it's true. It's not for my parents of for anyone or anything but me. I love this Church and I'm a Mormon- and I always will be.

How I live my faith

Christ served others, so I live my faith by seving others. I know that everyone around me is a beloved child of God, and I do my best to try to remember that and treat others accordingly.
