Hi I'm Austin Robinette

I am an avid mountain biker, a college student and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at Utah State University. I love to mountain bike, hike, hunt, and fish. I am now serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Rochester, New York and love being able to share our beliefs with everyone I see. I love my family so much and have a great one. I love being a part of this great Gospel because it provides me with the ability to know that my family can be together forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this great church and never really understood anything about it. I loved my family so I just went to church. But when I was a teenager I went on a camping trip with a group of boys my age. While hiking a mountain on this trip I had a near death experience. This experience scared me very badly, but I felt deep down in my heart that I did not die because I was saved. I felt that the Lord had other things planned for me and they lied here in this church. I since became a very active member in my ward and have loved every minute of it. I do know that this church is true, that we live in times where revelation comes to us today as it has in the past through modern day prophets. They truly do speak with the Lord and guide us. I know that My Redeemer lives and I am so grateful for the sacrifice that he gave so that I may have the opportunity to live again. I am grateful for my family and for the Book of Mormon. I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it is comparable to the Bible and that if used hand in hand that you may be able to grow closer to your Father in Heaven and in his son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best daily to come closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Every day as I read from the scriptures and pray, I think about all the things that he has done for me. He suffered the Atonement for all of us so that through him we could find true happiness. I try everyday to share that message with those around me so that they can enjoy that happiness as well.
