Hi I'm Lloyd

I am a husband, a father, a grandfather, a pediatrician, a volunteer for LDS Charities, and a Mormon who is trying to follow Jesus

About Me

I am blessed to have an amazing wife, loving children and their spouses, and the greatest grandkids. I love the outdoors and almost anything related to wholesome recreational activities. I love camping, backpacking, mountain biking, skiing, running, four wheeling, working in the mountains, doing triathlons, and traveling-anything with my family. My wife and I have been blessed to volunteer with Latter-Day Saints Charities in teaching newborn resuscitation skills throughout Latin American and Africa. The opportunity to teach is a blessing in my life. I have the greatest job in the world. Being around kids is such a blessing

Why I am a Mormon

Because God answers prayers. As a young boy, my mother taught me that God will hear and answer my prayers. Oh how I am grateful to my dear mother. As a grieving teenager, God answered me that families can be together through the power of the temple and that I would see my mother again. As a questioning teenager, God answered my prayers about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and that I can be forgiven of my sins through the atonement of Christ. As a struggling missionary, God answered my prayers to learn the languages that I needed to do to communicate God's plan of happiness with others. As a nervous college student, God answered my prayers and convinced the most amazing person to accept my marriage proposal. As a struglling father, God answered our prayers and has provided a way to support our young family. As a busy hasband and father, God has answered my prayers for the health, safety, and spiritual welfare of our children. God is there. I have felt His help in my life and I recognize His help in anything worthwhile that has come to me. Also when I have had disappointment and heartache, God has been there. I am a Mormon because God has directed me here.

How I live my faith

I am trying to be more Christ-like in my daily life. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to work with the scouting organization and our youth organziations for most of my adult life. Being around the youth is a great blessing.
