Hi I'm Sarah

I was born in Brookyln and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY. I'm a fashion blogger, student, intern, happy teenager, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My parents both converted to the church, my mother previously being a Catholic and my dad being Jewish. After they both joined the church they met through a mutual friend from church and the rest is history! I love this gospel and the blessings and joys that come with it. Through many experiences I have come to gain a testimony of the church for myself, and I can't imagine my life without it and the sweet peace it brings to my soul. I'm 16, I love my friends and family, I love writing and fashion (okay, I REALLY love fashion. haha). It can be challenge to balance the worldliness of the fashion business with staying grounded in the gospel, but I'm determined to make it work! I love my church friends and they keep my grounded in doing what is right!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because of the simple truths that this church possesses that I can't find anywhere else. God loves me, and I am his daughter. I'm not perfect, but I try hard to do my best and he makes up for the rest. I can repent when I have made a mistake and my savior loves me to no end. If I strive my best to live a worthy and righteous life no matter what situation I'm in or where I am, I will be blessed. it may be rough now, but things always get better. I see some of the teenagers around me making mad choices and messing their lives up, and rather than taking part in their choices, it makes me cling harder to the gospel. When you have an eternal perspective, it's so much easier to just say no to drugs and sex because I know I'll be so much happier down the road. I also love that even though the churches standards are set high, it still leaves plenty of room for fun that I won't feel awful about the next day. The church gives me support that I need and helps me to know that I can always turn to my Heavenly Father with anything on my mind. To summarize, this church is life changing and I know I would be lost and messed up without it. It has given me everything that I am through the spirit and the knowledge of who I am, and who I can be. I am eternally thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life!

How I live my faith

By being a good example to my friends and family who aren't members of the church. I love to answer their questions and share the joy that the gospel brings to me with them. I love bringing my friends to church activities (mormon dances? They're awesome)! I strive hard each day to have a good attitude (even though it's super hard sometimes and I don't always succeed).
