Hi I'm Summer

I grew up in Utah. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I majored in History and taught school for six years. I taught high school and middle school. I have always really loved to travel with my family as I grew up, my friends and now with my family. I am now a stay at home mom with two little girls and a boy on the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. I have always felt very lucky to have been blessed with incredible examples both in my family and with my friends as I grew up. At times my faith has been tested by challenges in life, trials and choices that I have made but I have always remained a member because my Savior has guided me and comforted me when I needed it most. I know that as I live closer and closer to the teachings of Jesus Christ I am happier and more at peace. He shows us the way to live with our families forever and to be truly happy. I see on t.v. and in the world that people would have us believe that our looks, fame and the amount of money we have is what will make us happy. I know that those things are fleeting but that the true happiness of family and living a life with honesty and character is what makes me happy. I once heard someone say that if they found out in the end that the church was not true they would still be happy that they had been a member and that they lived according to it's principles. What a blessing it is to be a member of the church. What an incredible world we live in. I am thankful to my Savior to have blessed me with the gospel in my life. I know that he loves me and that he is aware of each of individually, what we experience and the joys and sorrows we go through. I know he has a plan for us and that he wants us to be happy and return to live with him again. He has provided tools for us in this life to help guide and direct us and to protect us. I am grateful for the power of prayer in my life. I know the church is true. I know God lives and loves us. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know that we can find answers in the scriptures, both the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I know that we have a living prophet that lives today, that he communicates with our Savior and gives us counsel that he would have us know. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I teach the eleven year old boys and girls in primary. I teach with my husband. Each Sunday we teach them about the life of Jesus Christ and others from the scriptures. They are given great examples from the stories in the scriptures and then shown how theses principals relate to their lives. It is exciting to see such strong and good kids at their age. I also visit teach three women in our ward, which means that I check on them monthly to make sure they are doing well. I check on their needs and share a lesson with them.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

To me this is my favorite principle of the church. I am incredibly close to my family and love them so much. We have lost family members both old and young and although it is sad I know that we will see them again. I cannot imagine a Heaven without being with those I love. I know that our family is sealed together in the temple and after this life I will be with them forever, what an incredible blessing! Show more Show less
