Hi I'm Evelyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the church over forty years ago. It has been the one constant in my life that has lead me to the happiness I enjoy. My love for my Savior, Jesus Christ has been enlarged as I have grown to know Him better. Scripture study, prayer and personal revelation are the greatest source of knowledge I have. I know the church is true and enjoy attending church each Sabbath Day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the doctrine that is taught in my church. As I have grown over the years the scriptures, the things I have learned, the covenants I have made and the life I have lived have all brought me much joy and happiness.

How I live my faith

I have tried to live my faith since my baptism. I was the first person in my family in the United States who joined the church. Many of my family members did not understand why I changed from the Methodist religion to the Mormon faith. Now my mother, my sisters and many of my nieces and nephews are members. I was a modern day pioneer. I often think of myself as a bridge that has helped many family members cross over from protestant to Mormonism. I love that the name of my church has the name of Jesus Christ in it. I am eternally grateful for the many years I have been able to live my faith and grow.
