Hi I'm BJ Riggs

I like to go 4 wheeling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 16 years and am a father of 3. I love to work on old international trucks. I built a buggy to drive off road and go 4 wheeling. I build custom cabinets. After a 10 year break I returned to college to finish my degree. As a family be go water skiing as often as possible. My wife and I like to go motorcycling. We enjoy family trips to anywhere.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and have been active all my life. Early in life I wanted to know for myself about the church and if it was something I wanted to participate in for the rest of my life. I attended some other churches with friends and attended some of their activities to learn more about other religions. I also invited them to attend my church and our activities. Through this and personal prayers, I developed my own testimony, at a young age, that this is the church I wanted to participate in for the rest of my life. I know that Heavenly Father directs this church. What I have learned by going to church has given me the opportunity to have a wonderful life full of joy and happiness. The peace and sense of direction I get by reading the Book of Mormon is beautiful. I know God lives and by living his principles I will get to return to him one day.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve in the primary teaching the younger children about the stories of Jesus Christ. I have served an accumulated 7 years in the Nursery, these are children between the ages of 18mo to 3 years of age. I have worked with the youth and in scouting. I currently serve as 1st counselor to the Bishop. This calling allows me to get to know many of the members in our congregation. I love the opportunity to serve. In serving I really can feel close to my Father in heaven.
