Hi I'm Allison

I am a wife and a mom of 2 boys. I love spending time with family and watching my boys play sports! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am as conservative and traditional as they come. My family and my church are the most important things to me. I believe the traditional role of women is to become mothers and that the traditional role of men is to provide for their family. I believe my role as a mother is my most important calling in life. Everything I do, my hobbies, etc. are centered around family and my children. I love creating and preserving memories for my kids. I love doing family history, journaling, photography, etc. I love being a homemaker and making my home a sanctuary for my family. I love holidays with my family and creating traditions that make my kids feel special and loved. I teach them that they are children of our Heavenly Father and that makes them very special. I teach them the Lord's plan of happiness...why we came to earth, what we are here for and where we are going when we leave this earth. We have family meals around the table, we have family prayers, we read scriptures together and we attend church. It's not always easy, but it IS always worth it. We are not perfect but we are dedicated and committed to creating a family unity centered around God.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many religions and so many different beliefs, different interpretations of the Bible, etc. But when it comes down to it, there is really only ONE truth...only one interpretation is the right one! Christ only has one truth, one gospel. He taught His gospel when He was on the earth. The question is...of all the churches on the earth today, which one is HIS? That is what every person needs to find out for themselves. Which one is the gospel He taught? The reason I am a Mormon is I know that this is Christ's church. This is His gospel. He taught us to follow Him and His example. That is what we, as Mormon's do. He leads our church. He is the Living Son of God and this is His Living Gospel. Most churches have "some" of the truthfulness of His gospel, but only The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the "fullness" of His gospel. Our church teaches it's members and invites those who are not members, to do as it says in James 1:5..."If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God...". I encourage every person to ask God, with a sincere heart, if your church is His true church, the one He established when He was on the earth. Whether you are Mormon, or not...ask Him to guide you to the truth. If you feel you already have the truth, ask him if you are right. That is what I have done and I have received a testimony that this church is His true church, that it contains the fullness of His gospel. It is such a comfort to not rely on "man" for answers, but to be able to go directly to the Lord and have him guide you to the truth. It's that simple!

How I live my faith

I attend church with my family. I pray constantly and read my scriptures. I keep the commandments and serve others. I follow Christ's teachings and examples he set when He was on the earth. I don't claim to just believe...I live my life for Christ. We are saved by His grace, yes, but also by our works. "Faith without works is dead." I seek His counsel and His will for me daily. I teach my children His gospel. I have made and continue to renew covenants with the Lord. I have made Him solemn promises and He, in return, blesses me and my family. I love my Heavenly Father and I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I invite all who read this to ask the Lord to lead you to the truth. Seek His will for you. Read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. It is just a continuation of the Bible. Ask the Lord if He wants you to read the Book of Mormon. We have been counseled, "If you want to talk to God, pray...if you want God to talk to you, read the scriptures. Seek answers from Him through prayer, then read your scriptures to receive answers from a Living God. I say all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
