Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a mom and a wife. I have celiac and enjoy helping others find ways to eat gluten free. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of three little ones. I love children. I especially love to cook. BUT I have celiac disease, so the past few years I have spent a lot of time learning how to cook gluten free, and I think I've gotten pretty good at it. I also enjoying sewing, coloring in coloring books, walking, talking and playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with parents who were mormons and have attended church my whole life. As I grew I gained my own testimony through reading the Book of Mormon, listening to the prophets and apostles and praying. I've always just felt good about being a member of this church and never wanted to loose the peaceful feeling I get from always having the Holy Ghost with me. I love being able to go to church and connect with other people who believe the same thing I do. I love being able to talk to other mom's who share the same values and similar parenting styles as me. I also love having so many resources available to help me know how to be a better mother, a better wife and a better member of my community. This church not only has all the answers to lifes questions but it also has an amazing organization of men, women and children who work together to give support and strength to it's member. I love that I can move anywhere in the United States (or even the world) and I know the church will be the same there as it was where I came from. I'm so grateful to have this gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I have served in the primary with the kids a couple of times, but both times I ended up moving away after about a year. I now get to teach the women once a month and I love it! I also like to visit our temple in Washington DC as often as I get the chance. It's a beautiful place and I love the peace I feel when I am there. (especially the no screaming kids part :)

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

I personally try to find friends and people outside of our church to get to know and help and love. I love learning from everyone, especially from people who aren't mormons. They have so much to offer. I'm certainly not perfect but I do try to be friendly, and helpful to all kinds of people. Show more Show less
