Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in California. I'm raising my family in Washington. I love physical fitness. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father, and a grandpa. My wife and I have partnered in marriage, business, family and fun. Together we have accomplished far more than we ever would have been able to by ourselves. Everything is a little better together. Life keeps me extremely busy, pulling me in all sorts of different directions, but I always manage to find a time to workout. It is how I leave my work and troubles behind. We have always been a very physically active family.

Why I am a Mormon

My older sister was introduced to the gospel when she was in high school. She ask my parents to listen to the missionaries and although it took a little while, they agreed. How grateful I am that my parents were willing to open their hearts, their minds, and their door to the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Although I was not quite 13, I knew there was something special about this church. As I have lived the Gospel and its teachings, my testimony and understanding have grown so much and blessed my life. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because my heart tells me this is the Lord's gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the Savior and his example of kindness, love, and patience. I often fall short but I know that He still loves me. I always strive to keep that in mind when other make mistakes as well. If the Lord is always willing to be patient with me I think I can show a little patience with others as well. I feel closer to the Savior as I remember and live his example. I want to be more like him. I think the most important place to live your faith is in your home. I have had many different opportunities to serve at church. The one I look back on with the fondest memories is the two years my wife and I spent serving together in the nursery teaching the little kids. I live my faith because of the joy that it brings to me and my family.
