Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a writer, a musician, a fashion enthusiast, but most importantly a Mormon.

About Me

Hey, I'm Daniel, I love to write: short stories, novels and poetry. I love fashion. I play volleyball and soccer. I love music: I play the Piano and the Accordion. I speak English, Spanish, and French. Miami is where I call home for the next 3 months, then, whatever life brings.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I was raised Mormon. I saw that everyone around me had a powerful testimony of the church, and I never understood why I didn't have one. My parents were always there to teach me of Jesus Christ, but I guess I never gave them the time of day; until one day, one of my sisters challenged me to ask God, if the things that I have learned, and the things i sacrifice so much time for are true. I heard around me that everyone had received an answer to their prayers, but I thought that they only wanted to believe it was true. When my sister asked me to do it, i felt inspired. As I prayed I received an answer; I now knew that the church was true. The feelings that I felt are indescribable; they are some that make you want to act!

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best way that I can. In fact, as of now, I am serving as a full-time missionary for the Church. I am serving in Fort Lauderdale (Miami), Florida, and I am very eager to help everyone around me, come closer to our Heavenly Father. I live my Faith the best way I know how, by sharing the same joy, in essence, sharing the Faith with everyone.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

The reason is because God works in the same way since the beginning. In the beginning of time, when God called a prophet, he gave them authority to do what He wanted, and when Jesus Christ was here on Earth, he had the authority to do what God wanted of Him. Even Jesus Christ showed the importance of baptism through proper authority by being baptized by John the Baptist: the only man on Earth who held that authority. He didn't go to the Pharisees, the Sadducees, or the Scribes, but rather he travelled about 40 miles to be baptized by John specifically. So if it was the same in times of old, it should be the same today. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon, is another way that we can see the love of God to all of his children. Being Mexican, I always questioned myslef if God had forgotten about his children in the Americas. The Book of Mormon is a witness to me and to all of the world, that as God loved his children in the Old World (the Middle East), he also loves his children here in the Americas. It stands as a witness of God's divinity, His love, and of His son Jesus Christ who came here to Earth to die for each and every single one of us. The Book of Mormon will change your life, if you let it. Show more Show less
