Hi I'm Diana Ordoñez

I am a mormon. I know it, I live it and I love it!

About Me

I am an only child, very spoiled sometimes but not all of the time. I love my family!!! I like to be friendly with everyone and make friends. I love ice cream and I hate chocolate;) I rarely get angry. I like to play piano even though I'm not really good at it. I like to act in theaters because I have so much fun! . I like to teach and talk about my beliefs with everyone.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandparents were introduced to the church and were baptized. Since then my whole family on my mom's side are members, and because of that I was born into the church;) I am happy that my whole family are members of the same church because we share the same beliefs and especially because we put God first in our home;) And being Mormon makes us happy for many reasons;) but especially I am a Mormon not just because my parents are mormons. I'm mormon because I have my own testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and has been restored by a prophet of God, and the Book of Mormon is proof of that. I have learned this for myself over the years by going to church, ward activities and reading my scriptures, etc.

How I live my faith

My faith is strengthened every day when I pray to my Heavenly Father, when I read the scriptures daily, when I participate in the church activities, and especially when I go to church on Sunday to partake of Sacrament. Helping and serving others makes me feel happy because I know that when I'm serving God's children I am serving God.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Diana Ordoñez
Our body is a precious gift from God. To help keep our bodies and our minds healthy and strong, God gave a law of health to Joseph Smith in 1833. This law is known as the Word of Wisdom (see Doctrine and Covenants 89:1-21 ) In addition to emphasizing the benefits of proper eating and physical and spiritual health, God has spoken against the use of: *Tobacco. *Alcohol. *Coffee and tea. *Illegal drugs. God promises great physical and spiritual blessings to those who follow the Word of Wisdom. Today, the scientific community promotes some of the same principles that a loving God gave to Joseph Smith nearly two centuries ago. Show more Show less
