Hi I'm Alyssa Marie Sellers

I am a convert, I love to gosple and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 17 years old. I was 16 when I was converted. My boyfriend introduced to to the church and it was the best thing to ever happen to me. I love the gospel and I love my life as member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am the only member in my family which is sometimes a struggle but it does not discourage me form doing what I love. I love to read, swim, walk, learn new things and ponder the scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

A year and a half ago I started to investigate the church when my boyfriend invited me and Sunday morning. I thought oh my gosh they are going to try to convert me right when I walk in the door. That beautiful Sunday morning I got up and got ready. I was so nervous that I couldn't sit still. When I got to the church, we walked in and the irst thing that happened was I felt this amazinf feeling that I connot describe. I knew instantly that everything was fine. EVERYONE said hello to me and they were all so nice. Little did I know that good feeling that i had was the spirit. The spirit was with me the whole time. I listened intently to all the talks givven that day and after church, I asked to talk to the missionaries. I have a burning testimaony that this is the true church. I know that it is true, that President Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet and that Joseph Smith restored the gospel. I know that so many blessings come from joining the church and just believeing that the church is true. My life has been blessed greatly.

How I live my faith

I am a youth in the church. One thing I really love to do is give talks and teach lesons in church. I'm only 17 so I have so many opurtunities to sevre other people and to help wit events. I love to help people in need. I am the second counsler in the young woman's presidancy in my ward so I help plan events and activities which is a blast. Everyday I'm learning something new and alot of what i learn builds my testimony of this church and the gospel. The church standards seem like a lot to some people but to me they make my life so uch better. I never feel uncomfortable because I dress modsetly and I feel healthier. I'm not ashamed to tell people that I am a member of the church. I'm very proud of who I am and what I've become since I've become a member.
