Hi I'm Courtney

I was born in Utah, I love my family, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Courtney and I'm from Utah. I'm currently attending a University here in Utah where I am majoring in biology. I am on the Universities track team where hard work and dedication is our main focus. I have friends and family members who are members of this church and many who are not and I love them all the same. I love my family and the time I spend with them is something I'll always cherish. It brings me so much peace knowing that through our Savior Jesus Christ and his gospel, I can be with my family forever. I have recently been called to serve a mission in the Chile, Santiago East Mission. I'm so grateful for and humbled by this call and I cannot wait to begin teaching the gospel and serving the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it is true. I have felt the Holy Ghost testifying this to me over and over again, especailly when I am reading the Book of Mormon. This gospel teaches good principles and values to live by, these values help me to be a better person both to myself and the people around me. I know our Father in Heaven loves each of us and he would not leave us without direction, Thomas S. Monson is the current prophet on the earth today and his words are directly from our Father in Heaven. The savior wants us to become like him and this gospel helps me do that and I know it can help others too. I love this gospel and I love the strength it gives me. I know that our Savior, Jesus Christ loves each of us more than we can ever begin to comprehend and he wants us to return to him someday, I am choosing today to live righteously so that I can do just that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending our various church activities weekly. One activity that I attend is Institute, which is were adults of varying ages go to learn more about the gospel and study aspects of the church, it is a way for us to come closer to our Savior during the week instead of just attending our services on sundays. I also live my faith by following the teachings of this church such as dressing modestly, refaining from using offensive language and striving to live as The Savior, Jesus Christ, did during his ministry here on earth. One principle that is extremely important to this gospel and me, is family. I love my family and they are everything to me, I live my faith by honoring them and treating all of my family members with patience even though at times it is tough. We strive to give service to one another in our home and I know this brings more peace in our lives and a stronger feeling of love for each other.
