Hi I'm Chelsea

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Chelsea. I am a mother of three beautiful children. I am married to a wonderful man who is currently a member of the Utah National Guard. We spent the first few years of our married life living in a foreign country while my husband was serving Active Duty in the United States Army. We are both currently attending college. I am a stay at home mom. I love being able to stay home with my children and learning from them. I enjoy reading, sewing, camping, hiking and just spending time with my husband and children.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church. My parents are both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They taught me the Gospel and where to turn when life beat upon you. We attended Church every Sunday. I participated in all the Young Women's activities. When I moved out of my parents' house, I stopped attending church. I married a man with an LDS background in a civil ceremony. He joined the United States Army shortly after we were married. Shortly after we married, we moved to a foreign country, then he was deployed to Iraq. I was alone in a foreign place, pregnant, and scared for my husband's life. Then I remembered the things my parents had taught me and the peace I always felt when I was attending church. I found a Ward to attend and worked toward going to the Temple. My husband also found solace when he attended meetings in Iraq with other service members. Together(though apart physically) we worked towards the goal of getting sealed in the Temple. Two months after our daughter was born, my husband returned home and we were sealed in the Temple for all eternity. The peace that comes from attending Church meetings and the Temple regularly brings me a lot of joy. My husband has deployed since we have been sealed, but I don't feel the fear that consumed me the first time. I know we are sealed and will be a forever family. I love reading the Book of Mormon and feeling at peace in a world that is in turmoil. I am thankful to my parents for teaching me the things I needed to know growing up so that when I was ready, I would know where to turn for peace.

How I live my faith

In my Ward, I teach the 12-13 year old kids Sunday School. I really love the kids I teach and I enjoy the insights they share in class. There are some really wonderful youth today. They are smarter and more spiritual than I remember being at that age. I learn every Sunday from them. I have also spent time teaching in the Children's organization(Primary) in my ward. It is wonderful learning from them. They have perfect faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ, and in Our Heavenly Father. It is wonderful to be around them and truly know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us. He loves us.
