Hi I'm Kim

I am #5 of seven girls. I am a business owner, a bank teller and I have seven kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a house full of girls. I have six sisters and no brothers. As a little girl I loved music and dancing. As I got a little older and realized those weren't my strongest talents, I became more active in sports. I played volleyball and basketball in high school. I always knew I wanted a big family. So when I met my husband and got married, I decided having babies and being a mom was my calling in life. When I was pregnant with our third child we started our auto glass business. I ran the office out of our home and my husband did the installations mobile from his truck. We built up our business for nine years in the Phoenix Metro Valley before moving our seven kids to Northern Arizona. We still do auto glass but my husband is a deputy for the sheriff's office now. I recently became the on-call bank teller while still running our business from home. All of our kids are in school now ranging from 8th grade to pre-school. We are currently hosting a foreign exchange student from Germany for the school year. He is a senior in High School and the kids love having a new big brother! Our family is active in the community and in our church. We love helping others and try our best to be good examples to everyone!

Why I am a Mormon

I couldn't wait to be baptized when I turned 8 years old. I loved primary when I was a little girl. I especially loved music time. I can still remember my primary music leader. I wanted to be just like her. My favorite song was "Families Can Be Together Forever". Being a member of the Church has blessed my life in many different ways. I always knew that I wanted to get married in the Temple for Time and All Eternity. Knowing that I am sealed to my husband, children, parents and sisters has given me great comfort. When I was 20 years old my sister passed away while she was pregnant with her first child. She was only married for a short 10 months. My testimony of eternal families has grown even stronger because I know I will see her again someday. I love the gospel and the joy it brings to my family. I love my husband who holds the priesthood and has the power to bless our family and others. I am Mormon because it makes sense. I would not feel complete if I did not have the true gospel in my life. I love the scriptures and know the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I am the CubMaster in my ward. I run the pack meetings once a month and attend round table. I also help out when a teacher is needed for Sunday. I have worked with the children in primary. My most favorite calling is doing singing time with the kids. I went to girls camp this past summer with the 12 to 17 year olds. I love being involved with youth as much as I can. I am also a visiting teacher to 3 different ladies. I love going into their homes and getting to know them. My family has Family Home Evening once a week on Monday nights. This night is dedicated to just our family. No other plans are made. We have a gospel lesson and fun activity with a dessert. Each person takes turns having a responsibility. Even the little kids get to do something.
