Hi I'm Amanda.

I'm a wife and a mother of 3. I love to be outdoors, I love to be active, I love to laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with 3 sisters and one brother. I fall in as the middle child. My parents took us camping in the mountains every summer. I served a full-time mission for 18 months in Portugal and met my wonderful, amazing husband as a result of it. I decided on my course of study by signing up for the first major listed, which was accounting. My husband and I moved to the beautiful state of Colorado. We have 3 happy, fun children. We love to water-ski, snow-ski, bike, swim, and eat good food.

Why I am a Mormon

Living a Mormon life is living a life centered around the Savior, Jesus Christ. It is what brings me true happiness and peace every single day. This Church teaches me how to best handle and deal with trials that come my way. I cannot imagine my life without this Church. I don't like doing things the hard way and for me, living life outside this Church would be doing things the hard way. This Church is led by a living prophet, President Monson, and apostles of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is true. I have read it and I have felt it in my heart time and time again as it has brought me closer to the Savior. It has taught me how to be a better mother and wife. I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost, which I received when I was baptized. As I live worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost I am guided in the decisions I make everyday. The Holy Ghost warns me when my family or I shouldn't be doing something, He brings peace to my life, and He confirms to me that this truly is Jesus Christ's Church and that Jesus Christ is the head of this Church. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, He is our friend, He is our advocate and I know that He lives and that He wants us to come to Him by living the principles taught in this Church.

How I live my faith

I am an early-morning seminary teacher...very early morning. I have a newborn baby, so I'm up at 4:30 AM to make sure he is fed, before I get ready and head off to the church building where I teach. I love starting my day off with seminary. I teach 15 fabulous freshmen, who sacrifice their sleep to come to seminary and study the Old Testament. Being a seminary teacher has brought me closer to the Savior and closer to my family.
