Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of five children, four boys and a girl. I have a degree in Elementary Education. I teach preschool two mornings a week in my home. I play the piano and teach piano lessons three afternoons a week. I enjoy living in the country on two acres and enjoy the food from our garden. I play the piano for the high school choir and the Interfaith Community Choir. I enjoy bicycling, swimming and tennis. My challenge is coping with rheumatoid arthritis, but I have been able to cope pretty well.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a teenager, I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and by the spirit of the Holy Ghost I felt it was true. I have lived by the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ my whole life and it has brought me much happiness. I wish others to have the same happiness and direction in their lives. Living the Gospel can bring you great blessings and much happiness.

How I live my faith

I serve as choir director/pianist in our ward by choosing music, directing and playing for presentation in our Sunday meetings. I find this enjoyable and feel the spirit of the Lord in the music. I play the piano and organ for various events such as funerals and baptisms. I also enjoy working with the youth. I am currently a cub scout den leader. I have also worked with the girls the same age in Activity Days, where the girls work on acheivements such as learning and living the Gospel, developing talents, and serving others. I serve in our community by volunteering in the schools teaching music, helping in the classroom, and accompanying the choir. I also serve in our community by accompanying the community Interfaith Christmas choir.
