Hi I'm Lee

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Texas. I'm an educator who now works for a national educational non-profit corporation.

About Me

I love working with school district employees to help all students succeed. I love reading and writing. I love photography, especially nature and abandoned buildings. I enjoy watching college football and basketball and attending games when I can. I am the father of an awesome young woman and young man. I am married to my best friend and soulmate. I enjoy walks in the country and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young man, I was looking for answers to my questions about who I was, where I came from and why I am here. I searched many different denominations, but none seemed to completely fulfill the doubts in my mind. I was asked by a friend to play basketball with the men at his church. I was immediately struck by the spirit of the men during our friendly competitions. I was shocked that one, there was no cursing, and two, the honest joy in fellowshipping with one another. It was then that I asked my friend what the deal was about his church. I was introduced to the missionaries and went to Sunday services for the first time. I wasn't bombarded with pressure to join or "sign-up" that day. I felt the love of the Lord wrap around me as I asked all of my questions. I found that I could have my questions answered and that the Lord did have a plan for me. I found the true love of Christ. Today, I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. I know that God lives. I know that there is a prophet on this earth to lead and to guide us in these days. I know that there is another testament of Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

Today I am a member of the high council of our stake and help to support two of the congregations in our area. I work with various organizations in our church to support their missions and purposes in the gospel. I home teach several families and am blessed by all with whom I work. I participate in our ward choir. Singing gospel hymns uplifts me in the spirit of the Lord. I have had the opportunity to work with our youth on many occasions since joining the church back in 1980 and have found a wonderful spirit in our youth. I have been greatly blessed to be associated with these fine young men and women as they progress in life.
