Hi I'm Trent

I am from a small town in southern Utah. I love the outdoors. I love sports. I am a missionary in Indiana. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a wonderful family. I have 3 sisters and 0 brothers, and no I refused to let my sisters dress me up when I was younger. Luckily, I have a great dad that got me out of the house and into the outdoors. That is my sactuary. There is nothing like being on the top of a mountain surrounded by all of God's creations. I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, and anything else outdoors. I have a mother that can cook like no one's business. I grew up in the small town of Richfield, Utah the greatest place in the world. I love the small town lifestyle. I love playing sports such as football, baseball, and basketball and the life principles that sports teach like how to work together as a team in unity to achieve great things and how to work hard. I am currently serving a mission for the Lord in the great state of Indiana. Serving a mission has been the greatest experience of my life. I don't know what I want to do when I grow up, but I would love to do something that will allow me to help people and apply the skills and lessons that the mission and the gospel have taught me.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 18 and preparing for a mission, I determined that I didn't have the strongest testimony of the church, so I figured I better get one if I'm going to be spending the next 2 years telling everyone that its true. I was very fortunate to be born in the church and had awesome friends and family that kept me on the right track. But I needed to know for myself, and so I did. I had the opportunity to go to Palmyra, New York which is where Joseph Smith grew up and where he went into a grove of trees to ask our Heavenly Father what church to join and as he did so Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ both appeared to him and told him to join none, but that he would be a Prophet, as in times of old, to restore the fulness of the gospel to the Earth once more. So I had determined that this trip was going to be a great opportunity for me to find out whether the church was true or not, and I figured, "What better place to ask if the church is true, than in the very place that Joseph Smith recieved this vision?" So I did the same thing as Joseph Smith and prayed in that very grove of trees as he did, and asked God in the sincerity of my heart if Joseph Smith really was a Prophet and if the Book of Mormon is true. I recieved my answer from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith truly did see what he said he saw, and that the Book of Mormon is true, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission for the church, and I've been called by a Prophet to serve in the state of Indiana. I get to wake up each day and study the gospel, then go out and teach it to all those who will listen.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Because we know that this is the only path that will lead us back to our Father in heaven. We are all God's children and He wants every one of us to return to Him, so the missionaries proselyte to invite as many as they can onto this path that leads to peace in this life and eternal life in the world to come.
