Hi I'm Jaden

I'm Alaskan, I study peacebuilding and culture, I sing in a Salsa orchestra, I'm not a perfect human being, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of five children. My family means a lot to me. I enjoy living an active and involved life. I love to see people happy. Culture and tradition fascinate me. I am a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America. I have a great passion for the liberal arts, particularly in choir, theater, and motion picture. Whether as a participant or a spectator, these venues have had a powerful effect on my life for good and have brought me a lot of joy and fulfillment. I also love athletic competition. I have played hockey and soccer my whole life and am grateful for the life experience and lessons I have learned from them.

Why I am a Mormon

The LDS faith gives me hope and purpose. Much like the life of every human being, my life has been filled with moments of both joy and sorrow. The teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints help me to understand the purpose behind the joys and sorrows of life and give me a cause to keep pressing forward with a "perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men" (2 Nephi 31: 20). The road is not always clear, or easy. Despite this, I can find peace and assurance through the knowledge that God still works among us today and that his son, Jesus Christ, has provided a way for me to overcome any challenge and become something better than what I currently am.

How I live my faith

I look for opportunities to serve others. I try to be mindful of the needs and cares of others around me and do all I can to help them. If they are interested, I share with them what has caused me to live this way: the life of Jesus Christ.
