Hi I'm Bart.

I live in Austin, TX, and work as an auditor with one of the "Big Four" firms. I run triathlons, play the guitar, and am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father. I love Indian food, traveling to Europe, wholesome entertainment (books, music and movies), and training for triathlons. To me, people are energizing, and I love to meet new people and spend time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah. Half of my family were Mormons, and the other half were not. It was always clear to me that the standards taught by the Church would led to greater freedom and happiness, but it wasn't until I was a junior in high school that I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true Church - a full package which could not be found elsewhere. This testimony has been strengthened time and again through life experiences, both in South Korea on my two-year mission for the Church, and since then in the "real world."

How I live my faith

I've served as a scout leader, a Sunday School teacher, a financial clerk, a home teacher, an instructor, and a counselor. I love learning and teaching the gospel. The perspective it brings helps clarify my priorities and encourage continued growth and development in life. As a father, there's nothing better than knowing what will truly be helpful to my children as they grow - love, support, truth, and the light of the gospel.
