Hi I'm Andrew

and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up mostly in Colorado and New Mexico, served a 2 year mission for the church in North and South Carolina, I'm studying Aircraft Maintenance at Utah State University, I got married in May of 2013 and life is wonderful!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe God created everything that we know and see in life by organizing matter, commanding the elements knowing how everything works including everything and beyond what science we know and understand. Without God, planets and stars would not form, all would be chaos. That's why I believe there is a God, and It's a literal belief, not like a fairytale. I believe it is true that our spirits inside our physical bodies are the literal spirit children of God. He didn't create us for entertainment. He loves us (every person ever) and He has a plan for us to be able to return to His presence if we so chose and to be with our families that are organized in this life forever. Definitely, I want to be with my wife forever, and our future children and our parents siblings, so forth, because that is where I find the most happiness in life. This church teaches everything about God and His plan for us. Not only does it teach doctrine, but God organized this church by calling Joseph Smith to be a Prophet, the same as Peter in the New testament or Moses and Isaiah, and all the other prophets in the Old testament. The book of Mormon is evidence that Joseph Smith was truly called by God, and therefor men in this church are literally authorized to baptize with God's authority and to administer all of the ordinances and covenants that bind us to God and to our families forever and God has provided a way for us to share those blessings with those who have passed on and all people.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being obedient to God. That includes going to church every week, studying the scriptures on my own and with my family, praying, serving others, doing anything good, trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ, encouraging and inviting others to do the same. I'm not perfect, but I do my best to do what God wants me to do.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We believe in all truth and we accept the many truths found in all religions. We want to say to all people, "Keep the truth which you have and let us see if we can't share some more truth to bless your life". Many plain and precious truths that were taught before the dark ages about Gods plan for the human family were lost, but we believe that those truths have been restored through living Prophets. We know these things are true and we can't keep that knowledge to ourselves so we try to talk to as many people as we can and bless as many lives as possible. proselyting is just one way to give as many people as possible the chance to accept or reject the truth that we have.
