Hi I'm Chance

I'm a recent husband, father, and licensed Physical Therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband of 4 years and recently became a father 10 months ago to our newborn son. I also just graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and became a licensed physical therapist. I love my profession and my family and am learning to balance my home and work responsibilities. Aside from family activities, I love to exercise, golf, and do anything that involves a ball as well as study the history of the United States when time permits. An important part of my life is my personal and familial worship of Jesus Christ and my desire to become a better disciple if Him.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a sports enthusiast for all of my life, I had a difficult time dealing with injuries that made it difficult to play the sports that I loved. It was the Gospel of Jesus Christ and gaining strength from His Atonement that helped me learn to overcome adversity and find happiness in the challenges that were presented to me. I had countless prayers answered through the peaceful feelings of the Holy Ghost and truths instilled in me as I diligently studied the scriptures. I have also received tremendous joy from living the Gospel principles that Jesus Christ taught and continues to teach through His living prophets. The high moral standards and the emphasis that the Gospel places on building and strengthening families have enriched my life and helped me learn more about the everlasting love that God has for His children. I have seen personally not just in my own life but in the lives of many others how the Gospel can change lives for good and bring new life and joy to families. I believe that the unique truths that have been revealed to a living prophet in these days has allowed me and others to better come to know the attributes of Those we worship--namely God the Father and Jesus Christ. Beyond these truths, I also find great peace in knowing that the organization of the Church is of the same organization that existed following the death of Christ, and that organization allows me to be sure that I am following the Lord's way during these challenging times.

How I live my faith

I strive to help where I can when opportunities come to me. In the past year, I have been a Sunday School teacher and advisor to the small children and the teenage boys. I have not only taught Gospel principles on Sunday, but I have participated in Boy Scouts of America meetings in order to help the boys in our church. I also strive to live my standards in the community. Being a healthcare professional, I have the opportunity to influence a lot of people in need and I have found that being kind and honest with my dealings with other people allows me to help them even more and build meaningful and lasting relationships with those that I help. Besides helping others overcome physical ailments, I have seen first-hand the power that kindness can have on others who have experienced setbacks in their life.
