Hi I'm Devin.

I grew up in Arizona, I love basketball, I love having fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports, playing and watching. I love playing basketball, but watching NCAA football is a close second. I love being with my friends, meeting new people, and just being social. I love Arizona State University, I'm a die-hard fan, but I plan on going to Texas A &M University, but only after I serve a mission for the Church in Honduras, leaving November 2011.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me, that Christ is my Savior, and that we have been blessed with prophet on the Earth today. Through good times and bad, my testimony of these truths, and other Gospel truths, have been strengthened. As I live the Gospel, I can see the blessings flow from Heaven. I have received personal revelation that the Book of Mormon is true, and as I read it, I know I am reading the word of God.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to be a little better, a little more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. I do my best to be giving, caring, and kind to all those I interact with in a day. I used to teach the 6 year old Sunday school class, and I loved it! Now I am preparing to leave on a mission in November 2011, serving in Honduras.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Going on a mission is a voluntary choice. Young men, usually 19, serve for 2 years, while young women, around 21, will serve for 18 months. Married couples also serve missions, usually after retirement. I made the decision to serve a mission because I love our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have felt their love for me, which has been such a strength, and want to share that love with His children. The most powerful evidence of God's love for his children is shown through the Atonement of His only begotten son, Jesus Christ. I have felt the peace and joy that comes through the power of the Atonement and desire to share it with others. I have seen the blessings that come through the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Church is true, I know that Christ lives, that we have a loving Heavenly Father, and a prophet on the Earth. I love my fellow man, therefore I want to share this knowledge I have with those who have not yet received it. I can't wait to serve and be representative of the Church full-time in Honduras.
