Hi I'm Garrett

I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hunting fishing, and flying airplanes. most importantly, I LOVE my family! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending my second year in college. Growing up in a small town, I have come to enjoy spending time with my family camping, hunting, fishing and doing outdoor activities. At a young age I attended an airshow with my family, and I have been hooked on airplanes and flying ever since! In 2009 I got my private pilot's license. I have been raised in a home with great parents, two sisters and one brother.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members of the Church. My mom and her family met with the missionaries years ago, where after studying and learning from the missionaries they decided to join the church. My parents were married and later sealed in the Manti, Utah temple making it possible for our family to be eternal! Years ago I decided to be baptized when I was 8 years old. Several times afterwards I have read the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, along with the Bible, and have prayed to know of their truthfulness! Because of the confirmation of the Holy Ghost, I know through study and prayer that the Savior lives and that he paid the price for our sins. I know this is the savior's church restored on the Earth today! I know that the prophet Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and was called as a prophet. I am grateful for him and all the other prophets before and after him who have, and continue to testify of the Savior.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday for 3 hours with other college students and young adults around my age. I enjoy being able to home teach several other members of our church. This is a program where we visit other members at least once a month in their homes, share a message with them, and offer service. I served a two year mission in California where I along with hundreds of other missionaries shared our knowledge of the restored church, and served others.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Garrett
No. We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God who is our loving Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ. We love and respect the Prophet for his work in restoring the Savior's church, but we do not worship him. Show more Show less
