Hi I'm Rose

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Latter-day Saint, or Mormon. I've been a member of the church my whole life. My family was not always active, but I always knew it was the church that I belonged to and that I believed in. I have been attending church regularly, pretty much every Sunday, since I was 12 years old. My husband and I were sealed in the temple for all time and eternity 6 years ago. We have owned our own home for just under 3 years and we have a german sheperd. I have a bachelor's degree in Organizaitonal Leadership & Supervision with a minor in Music. I love music. I'm in a community choir. At church I am the 2nd counselor in the Young Women's organization. I help teach the young women about family, and preparing for marriage and motherhood. I like to dress fun. I currently work for ResCare. It's great being able serve others as my job. We do not have any kids yet. I have 5 nephews and a niece. They are between the ages of 6 months and 8. They are awesome. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I love my family very much. When we get together we play games, talk, and have fun. I have a great family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know the church is true. I feel the spirit when I go to church, church activities, when I pray, when i read scriptures, when I read the Ensign (the church magazine), when I sing or listen to church songs, when I hang out with other church members, when I bear my testimony, when I see miracles, or tender mercies of the Lord. I am a Mormon because I know that if I follow the teachings of the church, this is how I will be most happy. The church teaches us how to take care of our bodies, to gain as much education as we can, to be honest, to be hard working, to get married and have families, to do what Heavenly Father wants for us, and he wants for us to be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting God first. I really try to pray and read scriptures everyday. I am honest with my fellow men. I keep the Sabbath day holy by going to church and spending time with family. I truely try to live the gospel each and every day and do as my Heavenly Father in Heaven wants for me to do.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Latter-day Saint temples are used to do baptisms for the dead, those that did not get a chance to hear the gospel while on this earth. And they are able to choose whether they want to accept the work done for them or not. They are also used to get married or sealed to your family for all time and Eternity. While in the temple, you make covenants or promises with the Lord. It's a very special, spiritual experience. Show more Show less
