Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mother. I'm an avid scrapbook-er. I work in the medical field assisting those with no insurance and no income. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three young girls who like to giggle and play pretend. I work at a very busy medical office and am currently studying to be a Chemical Dependency Counselor with a degree in Mental Health. I would like to some day help individuals and their families to have the necessary tools to overcome addiction, trauma, crisis, and other life events. Although my husband of 8 years is not a member of the Church, our home is focused on togetherness and eternal love. We support each other and lean on each other through all of life's adventures. One of our favorite things to do together is movie night. Often this is done at home in the living room with a big bowl of popcorn and a candy bar as we enjoy a much anticipated movie. Life is not always sunny and perfect, but having my best friend as my husband definitely helps me get through the days of struggle. I love to scrap book and have a great time preserving our families memories in books full of pictures capturing the moments of Joy, Surprise, Success, and Friendship. The church has always been a foundation of my life. I find peace in its teachings and know that I have purpose.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of how the gospel makes me feel. I knew at a very young age that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was where I wanted to remain for my entire existence. I couldn't deny how I felt being in church and the atmosphere that surrounded me. The gospel has taught me many things. One in particular is that I have a reason for being here on this Earth. That I was chosen for this dispensation to live my life and learn and grow. We all have a purpose, a meaning, a reason why we are here. The Church has shown me that God knows me. He knows my name. He knows my struggles. He knows my accomplishments. He is proud of me. I'm a Mormon because it is the true and righteous way to life. Serving others as Jesus did, teaching others as Jesus did, and Loving others as Jesus did are just a few things this gospel teaches. I'm a Mormon because I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by my every day activities. I serve others daily at the office. The medical practice that I work for is involved in providing medical resources and treatment to those that cannot afford it. We help others to have the tools and assistance they need to over come health issues and concerns. I live my Faith by teaching others. I am privileged to teach the seventeen and eighteen year old Sunday School class in church and enjoy their comments and experiences. What adventurous spirits they all have! I live my faith by raising my children in a loving, spiritual way. There is so much heartache and hardship in the world today. It can be an easy place to get spiritually lost. My husband and I shower our young daughters with as much love and affection as we possibly can. Being a Mother and role model is important to me. I live my Faith by raising my daughters to know of their individual importance, that they matter and are loved. We all matter. We are all loved. I live my Faith by loving those around me with no judgement and misguided opinions. Just the pure love of Christ.
