Hi I'm Craig

I'm an Alaskan. I enjoy all of natures beauty and working with my hands. Faith is my fuel. I love the Lord... and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Alaska and throughout my life I developed a deep appreciation for Gods creations. I enjoy exploring and experiencing nature in its beauty. Whether its big game hunting or just getting outside to watch the sunset, life is good. I am the youngest of 4 kids. My family taught me to love, to work, and to love the work. I have been richly blessed in seeing the tender mercies of the Lord. I find satisfaction in learning how things work, what makes people tick, and how to repair, construct, or improve. I completed 3 years of college. I am currently serving a full time mission. I grew up playing soccer and ice hockey. I believe everyone has some good in them, regardless of what they do.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but I am a convert to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I have experienced God's power and love in my life, both the redeeming and strengthening or enabling power of the atonement. I know that God is our Father and he watches over us with meticulous care. He has a plan for our happiness. Jesus Christ is my personal savior and I know that he lives. Some are called to die for truth, others live for truth. Jesus Christ perfectly accomplished both. My experience has been that the fullest measure of peace on this earth comes from living the principles taught in the restored gospel. The fullness of His doctrine can be found in His church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. It is a book that our loving Heavenly Father in his infinite wisdom and love prepared for us in our day to have to unite us in faith in His Son. It’s a miracle that we have it and it takes a personal miraculous experience to believe it to be true. But isn't God, a God of miracles? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's kingdom again on the earth. It was established through the prophet Joseph Smith and is led by a modern prophet: President Thomas Monson. I am a Mormon because I have a deep conviction that God is not dead, he leads this church, and I have become better and happier by living the principles of the gospel. God is great and there is nothing funnier than people.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true and faithful to my promises to God. Everyday I set aside time to deepen my conversion unto the Lord. I serve randomnly and formally. I am working to love others the way my Father in Heaven loves me and them. I look for opportunities to help others develop faith in Jesus Christ and adhere to His doctrine. To me my faith isn't explained by what I do or say. Instead the things I think, say, and do are explained by my deeply rooted and all encompassing faith in Christ and love of God.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Apostles are men called of God to be special witnesses of Jesus Christ. Why wouldn't we want more apostles on the earth? Imagine if the apostles in New Testament times were on the earth, what kind of things would they be doing? I imagine they would roam around helping people. I imagine they would teach and testify that Jesus Christ was resurrected and that He lives today and leads His church. Because of His atonement on our behalf we can have peace and greater strength. Thats exactly what the living apostles are doing. They have powerful testimonies and recieve revelation from God that can aid us in life. They can see clearly the things of past, present, and future through the power of the Holy Ghost. They warn us of consequenses of sin and exhort us to righteous decisions that lead us to return to our Father in Heaven as well as true happiness on earth. Another reason we have apostles is because like Paul taught the true church of Jesus Christ must be founded on apostles and prophets. I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's church restored again and it has everything that Christ wanted and established. Joseph Smith taught that the majority of the 12 apostles will never lead us astray. It was true anciently and it is true today. Show more Show less
