Hi I'm Britni

I'm a mother. I'm a runner. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother, a runner, a health food enthusiast

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because it is the same church organized by Jesus Christ, himself when He walked on the earth. I am fortunate to have been raised with these teachings. But as all must find their way I too, questioned as a teenager, what I had been taught my whole life. I went through a period when I didn't study the scriptures, or pray as often as I should. My family moved about a thousand miles in the middle of high school, and while that may not be a huge deal to some for me (a dramatic 15 yr old) I thought all hope was gone. I have never felt so angry and so alone. After about 8 months of self pity, I finally picked up my scriptures and read a verse of scripture in the Book of Mormon that speaks of how Jesus Christ as our Savior, runs to us in our times of despair. In that moment, tears came to my eyes and I knew; I knew that I had been taught truth. I knew that Jesus Christ suffered for all of my sufferings and sins, and I knew that He would help me through my difficulties. With this knowledge came a knowledge that what I was taught was truth. The Book of Mormon truly testifies of Christ, and this church is Jesus Christ's church.

How I live my faith

I have had the pleasure teaching a Sunday class to the teenagers in our area. I am often amazed by how these teens defy "teen stereotypes". They are faithful, kind, loving and dedicated people. I have also enjoyed helping to plan and carry out get-togethers for women in the area. It is neat to see how when we work together, the sometimes mundane tasks of life can be enjoyable and fulfilling.
