Hi I'm Sarah

I was born in Venezuela. Grew up in Colorado. I am a student at B.Y.U. IDAHO. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. I am in college majoring in Biology. I go to B.Y.U. Idaho. I want to be a Cardiac Surgeon one day. I was born in Caracas Venezuela and moved to the states when I was 5 years old. I still speak both Spanish and English. My mom came to the United States with 3 kids, 1 suitcase, and 500 dollars in her pocket. My parents are divorced and remarried. I am currently doing the dating scene and It is hard!

Why I am a Mormon

I have faith in Jesus Christ. I know He is with me and helps me throughout my life. I want to be better and want to be a kinder person with His help. I have read the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. I have grown a lot in my understanding of the Gospel and hope to continue growing. I will try my hardest to use the Atonement in my life, serve all those in need, and make covenants with my Heavenly Father so that I may return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

I am currently going back and forth from Idaho and Colorado. This means that I get to be in a new singles ward about 3 times a year. The singles wards in Idaho are amazing in there ability to make all the students in the very small town of Rexburg feel at home. There are so many opportunities to serve the community in a large scale through the church and the school. In Colorado I am a Sunday School Teacher. So for 1 hour on Sunday I get to teach Gospel doctrine to other young adults in the ward. The ward is very much involve in service. The young adults volunteer regularly to baby sit at the battered women shelter along with other quarterly service projects organized by other young adult members of the church.
