Hi I'm Bekah

I'm from Detroit. I'm a math teacher and a dancer. I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I teach middle school math and I love it! I love being able to be a part of my students lives and helping them have positive experiences with mathematics. In 2011, I finished a Masters' Degree from the University of Utah and got my Bachelors' Degree from BYU-Idaho. I love dancing ballet, being outdoors hiking or camping, running, being active, and reading; I'll try almost anything at least once. Having fun is always my goal; I love to laugh and have a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to grow up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and went to church with my mom as a child. My dad and 5 older brothers are not members and never have been, hopefully they will be someday. My testimony was somewhat shaky as a teenager, but grew stronger and stronger as I progressed from being a teenager into my twenties. I love the Lord's Church, I have a testimony of the truthfulness of its teachings, and could not imagine my life without it. I am truly blessed to be a member of His Church and am grateful to be able to have Him help me through my life's experiences.

How I live my faith

Currently, I help plan activities for my peers to help them get to know one another and have fun together. I am attending a YSA (young single adult) ward, full of other people my age. In my line of work, it's so fun for me to be a positive, wholesome example to teenagers who are going through an awkward stage of life.
