Hi I'm Mary

I am a Mary Kay consultant who is in college. I am a football fan and proud Texan. Most importantly, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mary Kay Independent Consultant in TX. I was laid off by the State of Texas in April, and decided to turn the experience into a positive by going to college. I am in my third quarter and I still have a 4.0 GPA. I love Longhorn football. I served a mission for the church in California. I am an avid reader and love British Historical Romance like Jane Austen.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church to Mormon parents, but I am still an active Mormon, because I know my Heavenly Father lives, that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer and that this is the only church on the earth with the authority to perform ordinances (like baptism) in the name of Jesus Christ. I want to live with him someday with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the choir in my local ward (congregation) and I also visit several ladies a month (called "visiting teaching.") We have had a lot of wildfires in my area (including my house) and I have worked with other Mormons to help my neighbors clean up after the fires.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

In my area, we have recently had a lot of wildfires that have affected thousands of Texans, most of whom are not members of the Mormon church. The church gathered hundreds of volunteers from around the church and sent them to Texas to help the neighbors sift through rubble and clean up after the devastation. They went door to door to help every neighbor in need, Mormon or not. Show more Show less
