Hi I'm Tamara

I am a Chef, a Hair stylist, a wife and Mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an active and artistic person. l love the outdoors. I trained and worked in high end restaurants for 10+ year cooking. This is one of my greatest passions in life. I love cutting and styling hair, and my home is exploding with all different type of art work and color from over the years. I am a wife and mother of two and I couldn't be happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home that was divided by religion. My father was a member of the LDS Church and my mother was a born again Christian. After she left the LDS church when I was 3-4 years old, I faced many struggles between what I felt and believed. I loved both my parents so differently because of the separation of religion. Because of this, it brought about many challenges as a family. The first time I had moved away from home, I knew I had a opportunity to take charge of my life and go to church where I felt it would be best for me. I could either do as my mother asked and go to her church or I could go to the LDS church. I spent many days in prayer, contemplating my decision. I found myself at the doors of the LDS church waiting to go in. I knew it was what was where I needed to be. For many years I still struggled with my decision because I knew I was letting down someone I cared so much about. In 2006 my mother was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She had made the choice to not get treatment and this was a hard 6 months for my whole family. But in the end she left this earth in light. She passed on, accepting the gospel and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God which was her biggest struggle with the church. As for me, I was crushed. I lost my best friend and new not where I needed to take my life. My mother came to me in a dream. She told me what I was doing was wrong and I needed to change my life. I knew at that moment that I needed to return to church! I knew that I belonged there and I knew it was okay to attend church. After a while I meet my soul mate on LDS singles and now live a happy life with two beautiful children and I thank God every day for the many miracles in my life that have brought me to where I am today. I know with out a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is true. I know that Jesus Christ is at the head of His church and that we can find peace and love by following his teaching.

How I live my faith

I attend all my church meetings regularly. I study and read the scriptures as much as I can. I listen to uplifting music and I love to involve Heavenly Father in my life. I feel that this is the only way to have his constant companionship and guidance, and I am grateful for Heavenly Father's love. I serve as the First Councilor in the Young Woman's program. I have the opportunity to help lift up and teach these beautiful woman that they are truly daughters of God. I have the opportunity to help them find who they are as individuals, and I help strengthen their testimonies in gospel. I love that I can have the gospel in my life and that I can be a example to my children, husband, friends and family. I am thankful for the restoration of the gospel and the guidance I receive because I could not do it on my own.
