Hi I'm Jesse

I grew up in Nashville Tennessee, the son of loving parents, an Air Force Veteran, a Christian, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 25 years, I’m a father of three children and the grandpa of three wonderful grandchildren. We have a very diverse multi-cultural family. My wife, our children speak 4 languages. I served and retired from the United States Air Force as a Civil Engineer. My current employment now takes me into the community of Federal Civil Service where I am a Logistics Management Specialists with the US Air Force supporting the F-15 aircraft community solving complex support and sustainment problems. In my free time, I love genealogy, gardening, scouting, playing volleyball, and listing to Jazz. My grandparents taught me when I was as young as eight years old to serve others. Since I've became a member, I have learned to LOVE serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I received my own personal revelation that God really lives and that he has not forsaken his children on this earth. Fifteen years ago, I realized that I needed to find out about my relationship to my Heavenly Father. I am Mormon because I found the truth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Once I open my heart to my Heavenly Father, the Missionaries came and the truth was told. I love the Savior and His teachings of love and goodness. I find that I am much happier and at peace when I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ to its fullness.

How I live my faith

I live the faith by living the gospel every day…I pray in the morning and evenings, read my scriptures daily, and serve others. I am currently serving as the Bishop of our congregation. As the Bishop, I am responsible for both the spiritual and temporal welfare of my wonderful members and am aided by wonderful members who have various responsibilities for teaching the youth, leading auxiliary organizations, visiting members in their homes, and doing local missionary work. I find much joy, happiness, and meaning in working and serving with the members. I’ve also have served as a Deacon Quorum Advisor, Ward Mission Leader, in two Bishoprics, and as a High Councilor. Jesus spent His life serving others and I continue to strive to follow His example.
