Hi I'm Mariah

I grew up in Hawaii. I travel the world. I believe you can make a difference if you follow your dreams. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've traveled the world since I was a little girl and I'm not going to stop. Home is wherever I'm surrounded by those I love. I spent my childhood in the beautiful islands of Hawai'i. I've found amazing people and cultures all over the world. I've loved to read since before I can remember. I read everything I can. I graduated from an LDS University with a degree in English. I currently work for a publishing company while I work on a master's degree in Library and Information Science. I believe that anyone can make the world a better place. I believe one of the most effective ways to change the world is through great literature that touches the minds and lives of others. That's why I work hard everyday to bring amazing stories to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because living my life by following Christ's example makes me happier than anything else in this world. I believe in it with all my heart. I know that true happiness can only be found by obeying God's commandments and living life the way He has asked us to. I've read the Book of Mormon and prayed to Heavenly Father to tell me if it is true. It is. There is so much power in the Book of Mormon and in this Church. I've never felt anything more real. I know that Heavenly Father has called a prophet today just as He did in biblical times. The prophet receives revelation for us today in exactly the same way that the ancient prophets did. I know that we should listen to them and live our lives like they ask us to in order to be truly happy. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is centered around families and that living the Gospel as a family brings you closer together. Having faith in Christ is the first step - and then believing that He really can help you. Start by talking to Him.

How I live my faith

I love that this Gospel is all over the world, and it is exactly the same no matter where you go. Right now I live in a place full of young and single people that are strong in the Church. I love being able to go to church with friends my own age and teaching and learning from each other. I love teaching Sunday School classes and learning so much from my friends. This Gospel is not for the lazy. It's a lifestyle that takes work every single day in order to be truly happy in it. I love reading the Book of Mormon every single day. I love talking to Heavenly Father through prayer. I love talking to others about this amazing Gospel and the good news that we are not alone in this life.
