Hi I'm Suzanne (Suzy) Taylor

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Pima, Arizona. I graduated from Pima High School in 1970. That summer I married my best friend in the Mesa Arizona Temple. I was only 17 when I was married. Since I was a little girl my goal in life was to find a worthy person and to get married in the temple. We have 3 sons and 1 daughter. At this time we are expecting our 9th grandchild. This year we have been married for 41 years. I have not been able to be a stay home Mom. I have worked in an Automotive Machine Shop with my husband. After a few years I started working for the Coolidge School District as an Administrative Assistant. Hobbies - I love to go camping and fishing. My husband bought a Harley Davidson in 2003. I started riding with him. We have always had dirt bikes which I love to drive, but the bigger street bike have a lot more power, so I do not feel comfortable in driving my own, I am happy riding on the back while my husband does the driving. I was lucky to grow up in the church. On my Father's side of the family we have some of the pioneers that were sent down to the Gila Valley to settle the area. I have always had a strong testimony of the church. I have held many positions from Primary Teacher, Primary President, Counselor in the Stake Primary Presidency, Relief Society Teacher, R.S. President , Stake R.S. Counselor, Young Women Advisor, Many years in the Cub Scout Program and also Blazer Scout Leader. We have 3 sons and all of them have their Eagle Scout Rank.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. As a young woman I had to develop my own testimony of the gospel. I always leaned on my parent's testimony, and I needed to know that the church was true on my own. I was able to attend 4 years of seminary while attending Pima High School. I had some wonderful teachers and was able to start building my own testimony. After I was married I became the Primary President and from that calling I learned so much about the church and added more to my testiomony. Even now at my age of 59 I am amazed at how much I have learned about the church and also how much more I need to learn. I am a Mormon, because I have a strong testimony of Joseph Smith and the Golden Plates. How could a boy so young write such a wonderful book. Joseph had very little education. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by Ancient Prophets and that Joseph Smith through Heavnly Fathers help translated the Book of Mormon from the Golden Plates. I learned about Joseph Smith as a young girl. I have always had a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the only true church on this earth today. I know that if anyone reads the Book of Mormon with a prayerful heart they will also know that this book is true. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I have held many callings in the church. I have learned as a child, watching my parents example to always accept a calling. I know that Heavenly Father would help provide a way for me to do the things necessary to be able to do the assignments in the church. I know Heavenly Father would bless me and my family and I served in the church.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Suzanne (Suzy) Taylor
My family spends a lot of time outdoors. We are able to go camping and fishing and seeing nature. My husband and I also ride quite a few miles on our Harley Davidson. By being outdoors we see all the beautiful things that our Heavenly Father has created. How could anyone see so many things from rock formations to all of the vegetation that is on this earth and not know that there is a God? We have the opportunity to travel to quite a few different states and we are able to see a lot of beautiful places that could not have just came about by chance. I have a strong testimony that God, our Heavenly Father is helping us here on this earth. I know that he created this beautiful world for us to live. We just need to remember to pray and have faith in him and he will lead and guide us throughout our lives. Show more Show less
