Hi I'm Amarie

I have lived in Guatemala, I think smiling is addcting, and im a Mormon.

About Me

I know for a fact that chocolate always loves you back. I love to play sports of almost any kind but I would chose basketball above them all. I am a missionary sharing the gospel of Christ. Before I was studying Health Science at Brighman Young University. I love to learn about how the body works, I find it really fascinating. I think its great how our spirituality and our physical well being are all connected. As I chose to eat foods with the right nutrients I am a happier person. I am more receptive to feeling the spirit also when I am physically healthy. I love being a missionary. I have seen more happiness in my life and my family when we are focused on Christ and his teachings.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member because I know that God has a plan for me. He knows who I am and how to help me although sometimes I think I know the way. I grew up as a member my whole life but I have felt something special from reading The Book of Mormon. It brings a peace and guidance to life. I know that Cesus Christ loves everyone and knows how to comfort us. He has felt all sadness, sicknesses, or difficulties we have been through. I know I can always rely on him to lift me.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary and get to share the gospel and that God loves them everyday. I love to read the scriptures in the morning because they give me a spiritual boost. Its like drinking a fruit smoothie but spiritually. Gets er goin. The New Testament is great becasue I can grow closer my savior and the life he lived. I also enjoy reading The Book of Mormon because it shows of the love God has for his children.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Amarie
I put my trust completely in God and know that He will always be the same. He has called in a prophet today to guide his people as He has always done. We must exercise faith that he is a prophet but as he speaks I feel his power and know that he was called by God to direct us in how to live more like Christ and return back to the presence of my Father. I love that knowledge. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Amarie
The bible is Holy Scripture because I know it was written by prophets of old. It is sacred scripture because it it God's words. He revealed to them His word through revelation and they wrote so that all of God's children could be uplifted and strengthened. The Holy Ghost is God's helper who was the whisperer of what God told them. He was and is the middle man who reveals all things. In Acts the Paul teaches, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." Show more Show less
