Hi I'm Jacob

I am a twin, I love to be outdoors, I am looking forward to serving a mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Orem, UT. I love to be outdoors and be active. I am currently studying to become a mechanical engineer. I am a twin, I love my family, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it makes me so happy. It is comforting knowing that there is a way that I can live with God again and be together with my family forever--and that way is through Jesus Christ. Following the commandments and living in accordance to His will brings so much peace and happiness into my life. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that the Atonement is real. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that the church in Christ's time has been restored in its fullness on the earth today by the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that we have a living prophet today who speaks to the world in behalf of the Lord. I have learned for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true and living church upon the earth. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I love going to church each week. Since I am in college right now, I am in a mostly college-age ward. I love attending church and listening to my ward member's testimonies--when they are teaching a lesson, explaining an insight they have had, or giving a talk. It is cool to hear my friends proclaim their beliefs on Sunday, and then watch them live what they believe during the rest of the week. Every couple weeks, I have the opportunity to teach a class in church. Teaching is a new and exciting opportunity for me. I think it is cool that I am able to stand in front of a bunch of college-aged guys, lead a discussion about a gospel topic, and have them respond and share what they know to be true. Sundays are a special day for me because I love knowing that one day a week I get to rest from all my worldly cares and just focus on living the gospel and becoming better. I choose to not do any homework on the Sabbath and sometimes it is hard, but I think that this personal commitment I made to myself will help me succeed in school.
