Hi I'm Matt

I live in Avon, IN. I have a wife and a beautiful daughter. I study pharmacy at Butler University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Matt. I grew up in Utah, and I now live in Indiana. I am a full time student. I have a beautiful wife and daughter. I like sports, outdoors, technology, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I always went to church with my family just because that's what we did every Sunday. It wasn't until I was older that I realized I couldn't depend on my parents if I wanted to grow spiritually. I had to know for myself if I was part of the right church. After much prayer and study, I came to a knowledge that this was the true church and the place I needed to be. I will continue to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ in His true church because I know that is the key to my own salvation. I feel good when I am following His teachings, and I feel bad when I don't. Being a part of His church has made me the person I am today. I am happy and I know why I am here on Earth. I know where I came from and where I will be going after this life if I do what's right. The Gospel has given me comfort and joy in times of sorrow.

How I live my faith

I have had many responsibilities within the Church. I have had the opportunity to teach the youth in Sunday School. I enjoyed my time doing that very much. I have also had the opportunity to teach adults as well. Everyone has the opportunity to serve others within our Church by visiting them once per month. I have two families that I get to see every month. I am able to go to their home and get to know them. If they need anything, they can feel comfortable calling me because we have built a relationship. I also am able to interact with many other people on a weekly basis at church. Currently, I have the responsibility of working closely with the full time missionaries that work in our area. I meet with them every week, go to teaching appointments with them, and help them organize baptisms of people they are teaching. It is great to have these opportunities to serve those around me.
